Cordell Wilder agreed to be legal guardian for his nephew Bowie as a “just in case” because that’s what big brothers do.  His brother Jesse wasn’t actually supposed to die.  Lookin’ after a toddler and milkin’ cows just don’t mix.

 

He thinks it’s his lucky day when he learns he’s not the only guardian. Maybe he can be the fun Uncle instead?  Y’know, like a part-time gig. 

 

Yeah, no.  He’s not getting off that easy. 

 

Marley Ashley is the younger brother of Jesse’s wife or as Cordell knows him, huge pain in the ass.  

 

Cord’s going to have to step up as Bowie’s daddy, but there couldn’t be a bigger antithesis to Cordell than Marley and now they’ve got to raise a kid together?  If his brother was going to curse him with someone from beyond the afterlife, the least he could do was make sure it was someone who could show up to an appointment on time.

 

But it’s not just about him anymore.  They need to come up with a way to co-exist and get their nonsense together or it’ll be Bowie who suffers.
